Learn to Knit-  This is a terrific class for the true beginner, as well as the knitter who has put the needles away for too long and is in need of a kick start.  Learn the basics of knitting, including casting on, knitting, purling, decreasing and binding off. In addition to learning the techniques, students will learn the basics of reading a knitting pattern, gain a basic understanding of a variety of yarns, check guage, weave seams and learn the art of machine felting. You will complete a Felted Purse during class.   Cost: $75 plus materials. Wednesday  March 17, 24, and April 7  7-9 PM  


Crochet for Beginners and Beyond - Crochet is hot! Learn how to chain, single crochet, double crochet and more to create a pretty ruffle scarf.  This is the ruffle scarf that was featured in Interweave Crochet Spring 2006.  It's a great class for beginners or for those with WIPs (Works in Progress) or UFOs (Unfinished Objects) hiding in the back of their closet who need a jump-start to get the project finished. Students will  learn to read a pattern, check gauge, weave seams and finish the project. Class size limited.  Skill Level: new crocheter  Cost: $75 plus materials. Tuesday  Feb 16, 23, and March 2  7-9 PM   


Hairpin Lace - Lace is back in style; jump on board.  Make a lovely vest or wrap by learning to use a simple tool along with basic crochet skills.  With a decorative edge and you’ll have a unique garment. Cost: $40 plus materials.  Wednesday  Feb 17, 24, and March 3  7-9 PM                                                                                                           

To hold a seat in any class, you will need to pay in full when signing up. We accept all major credit cards over the phone. Some class sizes are limited so sign up early.   We suggest that you pick out your materials (when & if required), before the first class.  If you miss a class, you can make it up when the class is offered at a later date. Tunisian Crochet - Quick Stitches for a Beautiful Woven Look What do you get when you cross a knitting needle with a crochet hook? You get the tool used for Tunisian crochet! Learn to do an old technique that is very "hot" today. Crocheting with a long hook works up very fast and creates a fabric that looks woven. It also uses less yarn than traditional crochet. Socks 101!!- Fear no more, it's a cinch to knit a sock from the top down and once you learn, you will be addicted. Master knitting in the round on double pointed needles, turn a heel, and the kitchener stitch. Come by to pick out your yarn, and we'll provide a basic sock pattern for you. Skill Level: Intermediate. Cost: $40 plus materials. Tuesday  March 16 and 23  7-9 PM


Baby Surprise Jacket - Fun and easy to knit, this classic garter stitch sweater is worked in one piece having only 2 seams that run from the shoulders and down the length of the sleeves. Once you learn this popular Elizabeth Zimmerman design, what to knit for your next baby shower gift will no longer be in question. This sweater looks adorable in self striping yarn, such as Zitron's Lifestyle. There is also an adult version available. Cost: $40 plus materials.  Monday March 29, April 5   7-9 PM


Fix it up - Learn how to correct your mistakes, how to back track and pick up dropped stitches Cost: $30.

Tunisian Crochet Snood - It’s a hood, a scarf, a wrap? It’s all of them in one: It’s a snood.  Make a soft snood with the season’s latest materials in beautiful colors.  We’ll use the Tunisian Crochet technique.  So, if you know Tunisian and want to step up to another project, come and join the fun.  For intermediate students.  Beginners: take Tunisian Crochet first, and then join the class.  Cost: $50 plus materials  Monday  April 12 and 19  7-9 PM


My First Top Down Cardigan - This is the easiest way to knit a cardigan or a pullover!! You will learn how to cast on at the neck's edge and work your way down. You can pick your own pattern, or come by for our suggestions. A fabulous book to consider looking at is Fitted Knits by Stefanie Japel- it's full of great designs. Did I mention that knitting in the round leaves you seamless? That's the best part!! This method allows you to knit the sleeves form the top down, letting you add or take away length, a true custom fit.  Cost: $50 plus materials. Wednesday  April 14 and 28, 7-9 PM


Hexagon Madness - If you know how to crochet, but haven’t had the confidence to start your first blanket, here’s your chance!!  Once you learn how to crochet a hexagon and the technique of joining as you go, you’ll be well on your way!! 

With yarns like Spud and Chloe’s Sweater or Dream in Color’s Classy, it is impossible to resist crocheting this retro fabulous blanket!!  Cost: $40 plus materials. Tuesday  April 13 and 20  7-9 PM
